A traditional medicine necklace of hand-loomed fine glass beads made with artisans in the Putumayo region of Colombia. Aynan Designs has carefully selected designs that capture indigenous creation myths. These loomed necklaces are used as amulets during ceremonies and can also be worn as a ceremonial item for everyday life. This medicine necklace is 24 strands wide.
The Chakana is an ancient symbol used by the native peoples of the Andes to represent the power of the four directions. Also called the "Cross of the South", the chakana is universal symbol of native South American nations.
